via Wikipedia - In 2009, it was announced that a remake was in the works by Simon Cowell, which would star Zac Efron as Tony Manero. R&B artist Timbaland was also signed on to record The Bee Gees classics for the soundtrack.

The Bee Gee's website was cited as the source.
