not my comment but one from youtube about this and by someone we are all quite familiar with around here. made me laugh.
yeah its easy to take the piss out off this sort of gash and its not about us being all high and mighty but we do know what electro is around here. the depressing thing is is this is what kids want to hear today. the difference say when i was their age 20 years ago was there was still also loads of shit music about then but you were also exposed to loads of good stuff.

It`s like S.T.E.N.T.E.C. says, if the media calls it electro there is not much we can do, I`ve done this discussion a thousands of times on Belgian forums but it is `vechten tegen de bierkaai`. Why give it another name if the media has already decided? When an electroparty is presented here in Belgium you get a flyer with Justice, Tiga etc, too bad but what can we do? WE can only keep playing the real deal, nothing much more we can do I`m afraid.
Yeah I remember somebody mentioned on this forum that when he threw a party somewhere in Belgium with some dutch electro/disco acts couple of kids went to him during the party and wanted their money back because there was no electro and they had seen 'electro' on the flyer

i gave up explaining about 'true electro' to my collegues a long time ago
