Topic: Adidas party at a Nazi Mansion

Now that's a bizarre story. Yesterday, Adidas held a party. It was called Adidas House Party. It took place both in Rio and in Sao Paulo. The Sao Paulo one was about 2 weeks ago, in a place that looked like an abandoned building, according to some pictures I saw.
The Rio de Janeiro one was yesterday, at a big mansion in a noble, rich neighbourhood.
I haven't been to neither party. I wasn't invited. The whole idea about the party sucked actually. That super VIP thing, you know. You are invited only if your somebody, according to some assholes that define who is somebody and who is nobody. I guess I'm nobody, but I'm actually glad about it.

But what I wanted to say is the mansion that held Adidas party is a fucking nazi mansion! I'm gonna be honest. I would never, in my whole life, imagine there were nazis in Rio de Janeiro in the 21st century. Some 70 years there were these extreme rightists that had, at the time, some contact with german nazi party members and italian fascists. But this movement didn't last for a year.

So, here we are, 2009 in Rio de Janeiro and someone still keeps nazi memorabilia. Just to make it clear: nazism is wrong, no doubt about it, but I'm not against the preservation of history. Maybe some of the items at the mansion have some historical value and, maybe, should be kept. But there was an Adidas party going on! They should have, at least, kept those things somewhere hidden.

Here you can see some pictures: http://oglobo.globo.com/blogs/cuenca/po … 189027.asp

The text is written in portuguese, but it doesn't say much.

I doubt that such thing would happen in Europe.

Maybe someone here could shed some light on the pictures.

Sounds like a job for Prestige Protector...

Re: Adidas party at a Nazi Mansion

nazi is the new trend as it seems

Re: Adidas party at a Nazi Mansion

it'd be hard to hide those pool tiles..:D
and for the rest i only see a painting of a military guy in a german ww2 uniform. i'd hardly call that a nazi mansion.. i expected swastika's carved in the doors, swastika stained glass motifs, a picture of hitler in tiles on the floor, banners everywhere, that sort of thing..

btw we once played in belgrado in a building that i was told was used by the SS in ww2..

Re: Adidas party at a Nazi Mansion

and btw why you're so surprised, brasil was the number one nazi-hideout (odessa) after the war...it could be even an old mansion of mengele hmm

Re: Adidas party at a Nazi Mansion

@ miravalles
maybe it was some kind of hommage... according to wiki adolf "adi" dassler joined the nsdap in 1933!

"So, here we are, 2009 in Rio de Janeiro and someone still keeps nazi memorabilia."
-> aren't there even still people in brasil who name their cildren hitler, eichmann, himmler, g

.

You're right. I forgot about that. Mengele indeed lived in Brazil. Argentina was a very popular destination for nazis too.

Re: Adidas party at a Nazi Mansion

dont worry the nazis are recruiting big time here in Sweden difference is that now they look like anybody. in the 90's they were easy to spot. today they are much smarter and hide the fact that they are nazies. today they call themselves "patriots" and even have lots of female members and have a quite large party called Sverigedemokraterna (SD).

and in russia we are talking millions of nazies and hitler jugend style organisations.
