went to install a server and some workstations at a client's place and found this!
as old as me.. 30 years old (1979) only 3 were sold in switzerland apparently.
it costed 13000$ and each tape could store 19.6 mb of data
the current owner keeps it cause he's sure he can retrieve data from it if his machines fails 
it's a lab were they do some wood datation works since 1982 (dendrochronology)

When is the last the he powered on the system?
All their works from 82 to 94 are on discs drive and they constantly work with the data they have been accumulating.
Of course the databases and other data have been migrated onto other machines (win 3.11 lol)
now they access their databases from recent machines via virtual machines etc...
i have no idea when it got powered on for the last time but i told him he d probably never get it up again
