Stop crying.... When you unpack your studio somewhere else you will still have the mighty synthex...
Hell yeah I'm jealous...

i noticed you got the Behringer 2031 A monitors right? 8 inch?
how is your experience with them?
i am buying my first monitors, finding it very hard to decide.. when i went to listen to monitors at shops, i was impressed by the dynaudios and adams (though they are way too expensive) and was kind of disappointed by the rest (krks, alesis, --- it is important to say that i heard these in a very problematic room)..
anyway these behringers are significantly cheaper..

@ dishwashers union
nope, they are the BEHRINGER B2030P TRUTH.
Nice monitor, btw got also a pair of Alesis Monitor one.
But the behringer ones are good.

Except that yours is passive, do you know if there is any difference from the B2031?
Alesis M1 Mk2 right? Heard about these but never heard them myself.. which do you prefer to work with?
@ dishwashers union
I also have the Behringers active ones.
They're pretty ok imo but nothing compared to my dynaudio bm6a's.
The Behringers I use for dj-ing nowadays because they can go pretty loud.
I think there's too much bass in it. But in the end you've got to get used to your monitors anyway so it doesnt matter too much which you choose. Its a good start anyway.
@ Hans Olof - Nice! Is that a cockpit for one pilot or two?
@ SSM v3
two pilots! first we did some pingpong back and forth, then some tracks together using one 101 for bass and one for melody, or one for snare and one for hihats. lots of fun!
STENTEC-
yeah, i really loved the dynaudios.. its really an overkill for me but i saw a pair of bm5's that were 2nd hand and a lot cheaper than the bm6s.. they are smaller of course but do you know why the big difference?
-edit - big difference in price i mean

looks like a fun set-up!

I love Behringers naming of their products.... [At the developers meeting] "We have made a copy of the genelec 1031's but what shall we call it... Hmmm .... Uh Uh Uh... I got it, we'll call it the 2031, because ours is 1000 better... Yeah we rock!!!!! "
On another note...
I did my first mix on our new Adam s3a's today... I'm mixing a bigband record i recorded last year. They will take some time to get used to, cos I have been married to the 1031's for many years now. But I think they are the way forward.
I can recommend all Adam speekers to anyone. Even the cheap ones sound great. The small ones, we had on demo, lack some in the low area, but they seemed great for doing ballances.. ... .. ...
yeah the "TRUTH" part of the name is also pretty funny, quite direct isnt it?
i think i will open a topic with this because i want to get this done this week, the decison making part is real tricky for me ..

Oh really nice,
if it wasn't for the guy face down there (is that you) I could think of a nice photoshop mirror effect

What do you think of the Adam A7s? - do they count as one of the small ones??
I can get some of these locally as good as new with warranty for about 20% less than I could buy them brand new (though that's still a fair bit of $$ - I could also upgrade my audio interface to a fireface800 for that money) - they'd be replacing alesis monitor 1 MK2 w/ RA300 amp - which I'm not really happy with in terms of clarity, especially in the lows - what do you think?
@hans olof
i'd like to here this jam.
is the mpc triggers 101?
@dishwashers U
come on, get it already!
you should start with something seems like the behringer are not as bad as i thought
dynaudio are way expensive here as far as i know.
i'd go for the behringer and start working
@no-fi
i heard the A7 in a shop and they sound great, but i also felt they might be a bit tiring. The P11 on the other hand were just as great but without this problem .. yet even more expensive.
@mule driver
i still have lots of questions, but yeah i will probably go for the behringers in the end.
