Topic: Little Big Planet - ps3

If anybody is looking for beta keys to download Little Big Planet they are going to give away some today on ign.

Check out this news item: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/915/915948p1.html

You'll have to reload the page once or twice an hour until they update it and say that the keys are live.

It's definitely worth it, I got hold of a key yesterday and played a few hours with it and this game is going to be huge. It's like the computergame equivalent of LEGO, people are building amazing levels already.

it says the batch of keys has been exhausted. did you get this aswell then just refresh the page and one came up?

Ah crap. Too late. At least for Motorstorm PR Sony just sent me the key. Now, I'm mailing everywhere & getting nothing.

It was really hard to communicate with each other, takes forever to write in game messages. I guess a bluetooth headset is needed for that.

And it looked like you didnt follow into the 'all quiet on little big planet' level yesterday so I quit and continued building my robot. And then it didnt work to allow you joining into the level building. I hope that will be possible in the final game.

Theres lots of bugs and glitches right now, but I guess thats what the beta is for smile

Communicating wasn't easy. But it sure was fun (I just got the key last night).

Yeah, I got disconnected somewhere & then couldn't connect anymore as you where building a level. I sure am curious about your level.

That "No surprises" level was fun, great you can make such diverse levels with one tool.

Btw, I presume you need to get online to play the Beta? Can we still play it offline when the Beta is over (heard it stops in a few days.)?

Yeah, the physics are really nice. You have lots of different materials to build with with different weight and friction. The french guy who built the calculator made a chart over the properties of the different materials in the beta.
