its illegal in Poland to drink in public places area and transport, but many ppl dont care. One time i get a ticket for 100zloty (its about 33euro BUT in poland the living is twice cheaper) and i even dont had a beer in my hand, the cctv in that park spot us a view minutes earlier with it. Other time cops legitimate us with a beer on the hood we was lil drunk already and they leave us go with nothing just telling to drop the beer to garbage, probably because it was my friends birthday:)

btw... i dont really like to get drunk, i drink almost no alcohol...maybe about 3bottles beer/year

never had any problem with drinking in public in paris, wherever (metro,parks,streets)

but i remember once ,in cataluna (spain) that a cop hammered me with a billy club (a baton ? dont know the exact word) in my back because i refused to throw away a bottle of sangria that i was peacfully drinking with some friends
