imagine being an adult in 2025 and believing that the US supported Ukraine for moral reasons. the real decision makers are the donors, ie the owners, who secured 300 billion in government contracts from this war. States engage in war to enrich the ruling class. The State Department doesn’t give a fuck about doing what’s right.

What do you mean by 'ie the owners'?
No i disagree, geopolitical chess and war have many facets and reasons, not just money and cynicism. It can be morals (or lack of morals), ideological beliefs, culture, religion, historical reasons & context, humanitarian reason, to stop ethnic cleansing or to commit ethnic cleansing, 'freedom' etc. (US evolvement around the world haven't all been a cynical cash grab to enrich the ruling class.)
The foremost reason for last weeks geopolitical turmoil and flipping things upside down I would say is Donalds narcissistic personality disorder and simple retaliation (that plus Putin's charming ways towards Trump, and perhaps some leverage). I doubt attacking all your friends while at the same time getting in bed with dictators will benefit the upper echelon. (Unless Trumps plan de facto is to flip completely and go evil empire all the way.) If Elon cuts Starlink I cant see se how a human with some form of moral could choose to buy a new Tesla.
Russia couldn't have asked for a better mole inside the White House. They truly couldn't. This fact should alert Americans from left to right. Even Trump supporters should react.
No one is naïve enough to think geopolitical wars are conducted for anything other than profit and weakening of enemies states...
However one would've thought that backing Ukraine with US arms/military industrial complex all the while weakening and potentially dealing a fail blow to a long term adversary, providing security to long-term allies in NATO/ Europe would not only help with maintaining global world order/ bias but actually benefit the US. Presenting a united front on Ukraine would dissuade China from attacking Taiwan...you may as well hand the key to Taiwan over now.
NATO article 5 has only been invoked once, ....by the US after 9/11 and was joined thereafter(rightly or wrongly) by allies in fighting across the globe.
Trump is an oligarch, a tyrant and a fascist just like Putin. He is getting his ducks in a row so that he can have another presidential term after his 'final' legally allowed 4 year term comes to an end.
