Yeah it's def 303 inspired, but it is def not a 303 soundwise imo. Still really fun tho because of its sound and sequence capabilities.

I bought an MC-202. A bit of a silly purchase, I'm kinda between places right now and haven't been jamming on hardware much. But a friend of mine found a couple of them locally for a decent deal, minty with original boxes, so I decided to help with the investment. One motivating factor is that my friend is handy with electronics, so it will get modded one of these days. Hopefully this project gets finished soon and we can get both our 202s fitted with it https://tubbutec.de/mc-2oh2/

It would be a useful live tool, yeah. I bought it hoping to be able to midi map it to Serato for when I'm away from my decks, play around with some tunes, but Serato won't let you do that. Which is annoying. I don't have any other midi controllers though, so it is nice to have something compact with knobs and faders.

Yeah I like it. Had some free Valhalla plugins previously and they sound pretty decent.
I'm not much of a plugin buyer/downloader. Just have a few Valhalla's, this i my first non free one.

Sweet, that looks dope. Took long enough for Roland to finally expand the Boutiques beyond measly 4 voice polyphony. I've been thinking about getting the far less exotic and sexy JX08 to potentially replace my JX10 at some point. I really only use it for very simple pads, but I love the Badalementi sound of it. It's huge though.

was hard for me to decide between the jx and this, but I always wanted a jd 800. I really wish they would make a jp8000 boutique. I feel like it will come some day
