Topic: TR-707 switch between pattern play / step write in realtime?

I only have a TR-626 which requires you press stop to switch from pattern play to step write.
Can the TR-707 do this in realtime without the need to press stop?

also what are the other cool drummachines that can do this? : big_smile

I sold my 707 last year but I'm 95% sure you can't, to my info the 606 is the only one one of the Roland tr-machines that can. The Arturia Drumbrute Impact can do. Completely different sound, but it's my favorite drum machine at the moment.
