For this premiere we look to a long-time Electro-purveyor @Komarken-Electronics with a new project that he calls @Kleansounds

After making music for more than 12 years as Komarken Electronics, he came to a creative crisis in early 2018. He felt that he needed a fresh start and so KLEAN was born. He intends on releasing all of the music produced under this project on his own and all digitally. The production process is centered around the 'Elektron Octatrack' which is used as a sampler and sequencer for a few selected hardware synths. During the creative process he focuses as much of his attention as possible on the machines themselves and strays from looking at the computer screen as much as possible.

The track selected to premiere on @DarkScienceElectro is the short (but sweet track) 'MXRdriveLooP'. The track is a machine-funk approach that is as complicated as it is long, however, the track itself isn't short on character with its punchy bass, Dopplereffekt-esque synth stabs, and an overall feel that left me wanting more. Thankfully, the rest of the album shines as well, with the artist bucking the standard Komarken Electronics approach to dark Electro and branching into more uplifting feeling, broken-beat music. For this premiere we look to an old German colleague of mine, @Thomas-Kress, where we will be checking out his track from an upcoming VA comp on Robotmachine Records.

'Robotmachine Records' was founded in 2010 by Dynamik Bass System and has since released 17 offerings ranging from . The label's goal is to expose new talents within the Electro and Technobass music scene. The label finds a great balance between retro and future. With this release we look at the 'Elektro Süd Project' which is a series started by south German Electro producers Dynamik Bass System, Supremeja, Thomas Kress, and TecRoc. This project is also meant for the support of German-specific artists.

The track selected to premiere for @DarkScienceElectro is called 'Show Me'. Thomas Kress is a musician, producer and designer from Munich and has been producing music since the mid 90's with releases on Tropical Underground and Robotmachine Records. He uses a hardware approach to production with Digitone/Rev2 for FM synthesis and sound effects as well as Model D and Moog Mother-32 for bass sounds. The track itself was performed live and captured in Logic Pro.

For this @DarkScienceElectro premiere, we will be taking a listen to a track from a new release from one of my personal favorite Electro artists of all-time. @MetaComplex

The track selected to premiere from his new, self-released album is the opening track entitled 'Blue Light District'. Sauntering in at 121 beats per minute, this track has the melancholoy glaze that fans of MetaComplex have grown to love. A straight-forward approach to percussive traits leave the track open to be drenched in beautiful soundscapes filled with perfectly crafted delays and swooping pads. The rest of the album is absolutely stunning and comes highly recommended by @DVS NME

Robyrt Hecht is a Liepzig based producer and DJ who runs label, YUYAY Records. He has released his own tracks on his own label as well as releases on RAND Muzik Recordings with XY0815. Int Main is also Liepzig based with releases most well-known on Brokntoys.

The track selected by DVS NME to premiere for Dark Science Electro is the second track on record entitled 'Today'. It features galluping hi-hats, fun synth stabs and a standard bass line that keeps your head nodding throughout the track.

For this premiere we take a look at @Music-For-Sensuous-Lovers on
@Les-Yeux-Orange

Hailing from Montreal, Canada, M.S.L is the project of Edouard Le & his pal Francis Latreille. After two acclaimed releases on @ModelFuture and dutch label @BAKK-Projects, the duo settles down on Les Yeux Orange with a deep and melodic Electro four tracker.

The track selected by @DarkScienceElectro to premiere is the persistent track 'Enterprise'. It features classic 808-style beats with some synth-work that creates a fun, familiar feeling vibe throughout the track. This release is available now.

For the next @DarkScienceElectro premiere we look to the southern United States for a check-in with Electro veteran @Cygnus on @CPUrecords

With a long history of releases beginning in 2006, this Texas resident presents a brand new EP called 'Deep Analysis'. The track selected by @DVSNME to premiere for @DarkScienceElectro is entitled 'Sheffield Bleep'. The song was composed using Digitakt, Analog4 , Roland SH-01, Ableton and a Vocoder, This vocal track's central theme is an ode to the mighty @CPUrecords done over an Jazzy Electropop feeling track with a Roland CR-78 providing the rhythm. This track is my personal favorite on the record, however, I would also say that this release as a whole is absolutely worth checking out. It is on pre-order now and will be shipping out on or around May 3rd, 2019.

This premiere comes to us from an artist that is no stranger to Electro music, @Plant43 - On top of a choice artist, we also have the pleasure of hosting another premiere for the mighty @CPUrecords

This track comes from the recently released 'Three Dimensions' 2xLP which comes hot on the heels of his 2018 Ambient release on Shipwrec, which @DarkScienceElectro also did a premiere for and can be found here: Dvsnme – Premiere-plant43-banished-voices-shipwrec - Where the 2018 Ambient release focused more on soundscapes and an overall feel, this release is firing on all cylinders, bringing beats back to the forefront of the sonic journey.

The track selected to premiere for Dark Science Electro utilizes all the techniques that you have grown to love about the production style of @Plant43. Fast moving hi-hats, epic pads, driving bass lines, beautiful melodies, and syncopated arpeggios are all eagerly used on this track and throughout the record as well. This is the stand-out track on the album for me, however, this release is riddled with everything you love about this veteran producers approach to writing Electro music.

Next up for @DarkScienceElectro premieres we have Electro duo calling themselves 'Crossmods' @user-421462996 - This EP comes to us from Croatian label @CrobotMuzik

Crossmods is Cédric and Steeven who maintain a relatively low profile since joining the Electro community a couple of years ago. One member is a longtime DJ and fan of Electronic music and the other is actually a Rock musician. Together they have been putting together some really notable newcomer Electro.

The track selected by @DVSNME to premiere is the opening track of the EP entitled 'Electric Diamond'. The track sneaks in with a downplayed bassline and then, after a couple of minutes the track evolves into something deeper and darker, serving up pads, thumping bass drums and dazzling effects. This release (Synthesizer EP) is available digitally from Crobot Musik's Bandcamp page.

For this premiere we take a listen to a new side-project from a well-known Electro veteran under the name 'Empty Orchestra' for his own imprint @Transparent-Sound

This release features a classic Electro track by the label boss Orson (as Empty Orchestra), alongside remixes by Brighton-based electronic producer @AleroMay and Malta based @Acidulant - The track selected to premiere for @DarkScienceElectro is one of the remixes from the EP by 30 year old artist Acidulant.

This track was recorded late 2018. In this remix, Acidulant brings forward a twist of melodic Electro music mixed with dark textured Braindance synth-work and bass lines. The track builds up slowly with a heavy melodic approach and then transforms into a darker rhythmic voyage inspired by the tones of the original track. The track was composed using Korg MS20, Roland TR-8, Korg Radias, Roland SH-01a and a Eurorack Modular Synth.

This record will be released on May 6th, 2019

For this @DarkScienceElectro premiere we take a listen to a personal favorite artist of mine that calls himself @commuter - This release comes courtesy of @bassagenda

Commuter has been actively releasing music since 2004 and has been producing music since 1997. His production relies heavily on software synths and less heavily on hardware, which he has been collecting for 20+ years. Commuter is a great example of the old adage "It's the ear, not the gear". This producer also walks the line between Techno and Electro in a way that I don't think a lot of producers can do so gracefully.

The expression selected by @DVSNME to premiere is 'Commuting Xperience'. The track is a fantastic composition that features the Model D synth as well as a handful of VSTs. The song percolates with staccato arpeggios and a thunderous bass line remindful of Dopplereffekt. This is one of many great tracks on the album; So much so that I had a hard time picking a track to premiere. This album is highly recommended by me.

For this premiere we take a listen to Latvian record label @BlindAllies release for various artists including @Dexterous_Numerics, @DavidePirasmusic, @Lectromagnetique and yours truly @DVSNME

The song selected from 'Scientia' to premiere for @DarkScienceElectro is the opening track of the vinyl by 44-year old producer @Dexterous_Numerics. The North Kent-based musician brings the fire with a sound that is remindful of E.R.P. or Plant43. Smooth, calming pads and a simple (yet thoughtful) melody backed up to a progressive sea of synth modulations and rhythm changes. This release is available now.

For this premiere we check out a Swiss artist calling himself 'Midnight Menace' (@rolfee99djhallal) for his first self-released EP.

This Senegal-based producer is only 19 years of age yet is hitting the ground running with this first official EP release. His Soundcloud account highlights that he is flexible in his productions, making EBM, Techno, Drum & Bass and more. Though for this release, Midnight Menace focuses his attention on Electro.

The track selected to premiere is the second track called 'Freaky' on the 3-track EP. The track is a very straight-forward structure with rushing hi-hats, pad stabs and bassline that moves with the bass drum. This release will come available on May 15th. You can pre-order now on bandcamp.
