What's a good free midi player for OSX? I found old .mid files on my drive but can't play them.

vlc will play them, but you need to download the sound fonts first

edit: seems it may not work with a fully updated system ^^

how about garageband?

Heh, the instruments sure are not what they used to be with 8-bit soundblaster cards.
