Topic: General disco question

I am looking for a specific sound … the bleeps and bloops that you can hear at the beginning of this track:

I have always assumed that this was a popular sound in 70s disco, but since I don't know anything about that genre, I couldn't name any specific tracks. Could someone help me out? The less obscure, the better!

sounds like a drum synth such as a Syncussion or Pollard Syndrum
