http://www.korg.de/produkte/synthesizer … nfo-1.html <600€ in february
is it going to be as good as the original or only a shadow? looking forward to check it
Hmm, I was hoping more that they would release some kind of ultracheap monotron XL miniature keyboard with midi.
But this is not bad either.
No PWM like the origional.
1 Volt/Oct tracking on the vco's and S-Trigger input.
That's awesome.
But Buchla did show a new Music Easel.

My God.

I wonder how this will influence on the prices of the original MS20
Meanwhile, at the Roland booth...
Reality is that Roland is going to make more money on that D-Beam crap than Korg on new MS-20.
Meanwhile, at the Roland booth...
But a great job from Korg!
Anyone know what would be the cheapest way to get one in Belgium?
wait until it's released, then pick one up second hand from someone who realizes it won't make all their wub-wub dreams come true

I cant sync the lfo !?!??!!? IM SELLEING THEIS SHIT!!!
Old MS-20s is gonna get super hyped by these no doubt so take out your wallets and buy as many 1200 euro MS-20 as possible if you wanna make a dollar and a dime. Even if the new ones are better than the original (zero chance of that) they will hype up the classic ones in the end.
i'm waiting for the Mono/poly reissue
considering how successful this will be, surely roland will also want a piece of this market now

I guess so too. Look at Minimoogs vs. Moog Voyager/Oldschool. x0xb0xes didn't make 303s cheaper...

Would be cool to have it a bit more tiny and with midi. I just bought the real one and its kinda big.

Yeah. But what would they bring on? 303s? Not! (x0xb0x etc.) 101/202s? I guess there are no CEMs for the VCO anymore. 6-voice poly synth alá Juno or JX? how cheap has this to be to sell huge ammounts? So guess no! A 808 or 909?
You have to admire the way Korg have developed this. Introducing Low cost "toys" so the R&D teams can iron out all the problems and really see if there is serious interest in releasing bigger synth. Once the Monotron and Mono-tribe were in production they had already worked out supply chains and sourcing components.. Such a good business model.
A 808 or 909?
yes. roll out the TR classics. perfectly suited for this scenario.
