I ordered from this site, it's american but they send the knives from Japan: http://www.japanesechefsknife.com/HDSeries.html

The "smaller" one, 170mm santoku, was $135 and the big 240mm chef's knife was $191. Expensive but totally worth it since you'll have them for life.

They have a lot of other very nice japanese brands as well, some of the knives are just amazingly beautiful.
