monotron duo
Is it worth to prefer monotron duo before "classic" monotron?
The Monotron DUO seems like the first monotron. you can actually play a melody on, its little keyboard is actually in pitch with normal conventional scales...
Its got key scale settings on the back to change to chromatic and pentatonic scales and some more.

Finally i chose Strymon over Lexicon. It should be here in a couple of days.
I ordered one of these as well. I love the el cap and needed a new reverb.
Also have a tx81x and a dr-110 coming.
Headed to Michigan next week and hoping to bring the dr-110 and my leploop to keep my company. I think they'll get weird together

Ok. I`m planning to buy monotron delay and one of those two.

I tried using this last night for the 1st time as an audio divider and got some lovely glitchy chip-tune style sounds out of it. I fed an audio rate square wave into the ping input, an envelope into the Division CV and then just messed around for a bit. Lovely.
I just got a VERY beat up MPC1000 - it's missing two panels, three pads don't work, but aside from that it's all working fine. My first sampler and the price... the price was 70 euro!
Happy man.
Anton - I thought the volume control was also jacked? Someone else asked me how much it would cost to fix it.

haha, yes thats the one. yeah the left side comes in and out. the 4 seperate outs work, I'm only using it as a drum machine, mono is fine at the moment.
Picked up an Eventide H3000 SE for 530€
Celebrated paying off my Serge debt with a CR-78 for a really good price. Always wanted one. A little beat up but everything works. Even the programmer. Great machine, makes a nice table for the CR-8000 to boot. Has the same studio footprint.
Here's the video the guy made for selling it.
Nice buy. I've always fancied a CR-78

UNDERPANTS!
Me too but I was never gonna pay 1k USD for one. Finally found one that fit my price range.
There is a CR-78 for sale here 800€
Must be nuts....
BOSS MT-2 & RSD-10 Digital Delay Sampler £100 for the 2 of them. I don't know if that's a good price but looking forward to messing around with the sampler and the modular.
Those boss half unit fx are super sweet!
studio electronics atc-x ... fat & ugly
yeah those boss effects are great. using the rrv-10 alot!
That is one ugly bitch of a synth. Had an original ATC with expander and all cartridges once but the envelopes kinda drove me apenuts.
Got a Jupiter 6 in the house tonight and really enjoyed it for a couple of hours. It's got Europa 2.0 in it, shipped off to be factory installed at Synthcom by previous owner. Really nice shape, basically brand new looking, the guy babied it. All documentation and the old chip if I ever wanted to put it back in. A good deal, but not the deal of the century at 1750 Canadian. But an especially good deal not having to pay any taxes, customs, delivery etc.
And it definitely sounds way different than the T8 and some of my other polys. It makes me think of a polyphonic SH-101 if that makes any sense. Or like a poly version of the SH-7 I used to own. Not the same oscillators of course as the 7 but a nice, bright and clean techno sound to it. I like the filter a lot, I have enough squishy ones and the combinable waveforms. And it does sound extremely massive but can sound paper thin too. Am really enjoying it. It's very precise too. What you tell it to do it just does.
The T8 is murkier and a bit more raw sounding and of course has the sequential hallmarks that the Roland doesn't. So a nice complement to the rest of the studio. Very pleased.

got rid of my mopho desktop and got the atc-x for a fair price. yeah it's ugly allright, but i think the mopho was even more ugly . i control the filter and envelopes with my bassstation keyboard, and i think it sounds good. what was it about the envelopes that drove you apenuts?
Just found them really squishy and weird release times. Couldn't get them to bounce the way I wanted them to. Could have been the master keyboard too, though or MIDI response or whatever. Overall not a joy to play and the ARP filter was the only one I liked.
But I mean, I had the very first edition of the ATC.

now after using it for a few nights, i know what you mean. besides it doesn't feel like "my thing".
getting a yamaha cs-30 tonight!
Nice. A CS-30 is mos def everyone's thing.
I know Morgan Geist has used the shit out of his and ATCs seem like they're the greatest mono in the world on paper but then you play one and it doesn't seem right. I've never liked any Studio Electronics gear ever.
i would not say that the cs-30 is everyones thing. took me a while to learn the illogical interface (and i thought i knew monosynths). might be too much for your average programmer. but now that i have learned to tame this beast i have to say it is superb! monster synth indeed!
took the sequencer for a test drive last night.. dual filters and individual outs!

2 Tape machines in one day
@ crc sequencer sounds amazing!
