@mono. I don't know wtf it is but it looks beautiful
That's a Bruel & Kjaer! Hope it is in a good condition, otherwise you are gonna get disappointed by their support service

Simple but beautiful addition to my small setup!
is that not the 2 or 3rd RSF kobol you have had now?
3rd time i got an expander I.
Why do you keep on buying and selling them???
GAS for other stuff.
Last time i sold it to buy some Buchla 100 stuff i think and i had a Moog which i tought was kinda a replacement for the Kobol.
Now i got all 3.
Haha, Mono gets another Expander. I own one of his old ones!

SSL X-Panda.
Unless it is nothing like the X-desk I would return it. We have the x-desk in our B-studio and 6 months old it startet being noisy in the pots. The main volume pod is noisy and dosen't track right. The headphone out has come lose. The faders have startet to feel lose, and the talk back (don't know if that panda has one) sounds awful, and makes a squeek noise in the cans every time you push it. Oh yeah and the main thing, the summing sounds blah.... It does nothing for me summing wise. I used it 2-3 times and then I went back to summing in Protools.
Usually I would not rant on a piece of gear that another bot is happy for, but with the new ssl stuff I can only warn...
That being said the concept is nice and if they had lived up to their name it would be a great product...
I hope that you won't have any problems with it and my rant will go to shame..
Really I'm not trying to be an ass...

Cool. What roms are in the K100?
Me, I bought a Focusrite Safire Pro 40 today.
@ Brian. Don't know. How can i check that? Do yo mean plugable cards or just chips inside the box?
I dunno exactly what chipset sounds like what. But You can open it, there's a rom socket with a switch to eject the rom, that's the voice rom. There's the partnumber 24000, followed by 3 letters. I think these tell the version numbers; KAA, KAB, KAC. I believe that 1 of these 3 people could choose from when they bought it, extra chips where optional. I think C is the famous industrial one, not sure. Ruud can probably tell more.
the original sounds quite nice, but slightly tame. there is a jazz rom, and the 'industrial' one (which i have, i bought it separate on ebay) which is easily distinguished because of the orchestral hit and bass guitar samples. on a really fancy r100, there is an optional multi-rom with a switch outside which can go from one ROM to the other. i love that machine though..
new gear? how about a free watkins copicat tape echo?
Then I think the 'industrial' card is just the standard card in the Kawai R-50e?
Are these samples the ones that are in the 'industrial' rom?

ha ha, they sound super shitty this way! ;-)
but yes, these are most of the sounds anyway. tune them downnnnnn...
Traveled half a country to buy a Soundtracs Solo Midi 32ch in need of thorough cleaning and some repairs, came with a desk + rack and external VU meter and some AKG matrix mixer module. It barely fit into my car (the desk is still there). Now to find a good tech.
In return, stopped at another place to pick up a mint Roland stereo flanger SBF-325. Happy times! I'm more excited about the flaner than the mixer.
