I often encounter the problem that postings get cut off when someone uses a single quote. It is not always like that, but fairly often. Just check out the first posting of the Strange Dreams thread inside The Daily UFO subforum. Is anyone here able to read that posting except for the first sentence and the first word of the next one (which is "I")?
Just for testing, I am now writing the sentence "I am a robot", ten times, with the use of a single quote, maybe we'll get lucky and it will not work:
I'm a robot.
I'm a robot.
I'm a robot.
I'm a robot.
I'm a robot.
I'm a robot.
I'm a robot.
I'm a robot.
I'm a robot.

EDIT: Damn. Maybe it works with edited postings. So I'm gonna try.
EDIT 2: Nope. Well, please check that problem, as it's really annoying to be unable to read postings. Also, it doesn't seem to be a browser problem, since the postings are cut off in the source as well...

this problem you describe was due to the forum update that was done beginning of last year if im not mistaken.
should be solved and i havent noticed it again anywhere around since then.
have you encountered this problem also more recently or just with older postings?

I can't view the forum on any of my windows pc's??? When I log in I just get the advertising banner and a blank screen. I'm using my wife's iPad to post this message. What's happened?

same for me since a couple of weeks, think it is the internet explorer browser... r4r works fine with firefox
(you can have both ie and firefox on the same computer at the same time, they don't effect each other)

I don't know what causes this error. Is it when you use the 'Quick quote' feature or with the 'regular' qutoe feature from the textfield menu? Or both?

For me, with the quick quote ( i never use the other quote feature).

this happened to me when using double quotes (").
It's a common php thing, 9 out of 10 times related to a wrong configuration of magic_quotes_gpc.

The forum is no longer visible on Windows Mobile smartphone (Lumia 800, WP 7.5). All I see is the background and top banner. What's up doc?

Forum should display properly now on IE (newer versions).
Can anyone check if it works on Windows Mobile smartphone?
