Re: New COCKpits & GearPics
@zthee - beautiful modular!...did you design your own panels?
Thanks!
Yeah, I did it all myself.. (Here's a sneak peak on the next 3 panels.. Hope to finish that one next spring!)..

Great! very buchla-esque. I'm always very curious as to how people make their panels...Did you screen print? Lazertran?
all the gear I have... still a cockpit no?
a cockpit no doubt!...nice expidit fortress
you guys have modular synths, I got modular furniture
used to be like this:
but took up too much space
My latest synth, a Yamaha Motif XS rack
My latest purchases, a Mackie Control Universal Pro and 2 Xtender Pro's
@ Interfunk,
it's the 16 steps plus minisynth from MOS design,
a guy did the 16 for me and I added the minisynth to it!
It was my first DIY project and everything works but Oscillator 2 that is extremely high pitched....gotta debug...
@ Alex :the red square it's nice, fat and solid sound,it takes a while to get to a tasty configuration tho
Sorry for late reply guys I just spent 5 days in Texel....so beautiful (also cuz I was lucky and had 5 days of sun).
this is my modest jam spot. it has everything i need for now.
actually, make that 'everything I can afford for the time being'.
Ronin ... what's that chunky cable sticking out of the right side of your laptop?
P.S: Nice COCKpits everyone
Edit: spelling
the cable closest to the screen connects to a video signal switch
so my pc monitor can double as a second screen for the Mc Book
without tedious cable changing.
next to that is the firewire connection with the fireface 800 below.
hey ronin,
How are the speakers mounted!? They look hanging in the air!
that's a prototype levitation technology.
they are suspended in a magnetic field which provides zero point of contact.
so the + and - are fed to opposite ends of the field generator which moves the speaker coil.
ok no that's not true. but i was beginning to convince myself
i use these:
certainly not pro, but neither am i.
Pro is a state of mind.
where do i sign?
You just did.
Here is the last incarnation of my studio, perhaps the most decent I have ever made...
sorry for the bad quality of the pics, but I used my mobile...
Still a lot of stuff to be done (bass traps panels, separating the other side of the room, maybe moving the pc
far away from where it is located now..) but anyways a big step ahead
A pic is missing, the one on the opposite wall of the console... But there I still need to put
a proper holder for the other synths I have, which are still in Italy so far...
Eventually, as the modular synth is growing every month, as soon as it will be over 18U it will be moved on
the back wall as well.
Looking Great Alex

you're all freaks, I love it. I am needing to move house in the near future, and one of my top concerns is room for all the gear. Why can't I have a micro or nano sized hobby, like stamp collecting?
