do you reckon you get more scared when you're in a cinema though, as opposed to sitting at home in your oversized leather chair in your socks all comfy and shit with a Nandos?
The really scary movies scare you when they're finished. Deep innit.
My point is the scare starts when you're in bed the night you watched it, girlfriend's asleep and you're just about to turn out the light...

hard as nails... lazy... same thing

tbh, she's not lazy, just grown-up (i.e. can say 'it's only a film')

all had to do with some freakin' frog.. hehe man i forgot the title, would like to see it again..oh man! if you ever remember I would love to see that too!
*was it called Eaters?
no not that one, i will remember soon.. i hope
By the way, the Books of Blood by Clive Barker are amazing. Lots of excellent movie ideas there. Have you read them? There's a story called "In the Hills, the Cities". It really amazed me
In the same spirit, altho they're not movies, i'd like to put forward the works of algernon blackwood and h.p. lovecraft for the consideration of fright club...
very scary stuff. Lovecraft's The Colour Out of Space and Shadow Over Innsmouth particularly terrifying.
Also, some of Blackwood's stories influenced Twin Peaks' theory of lodges...

Anyone seen this?

Never was into Twin Peaks when it was a hit and on tv, but watched through the first season and the essential second season episodes recently. It's very Lovecraftian in lot of ways, when you stop to think about it.
ah yeah, I quite enjoyed them. was actually quite scary at points... good suggestion!
stumbled upon the REC dvd the other day but 25 EUR for a dvd was a bit too much for me, would really like to see it thou.

Wah, looks amazing.
Haven't seen this yet, but it's supposedly the most successful adaptation... homebrewed by the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society

yeah, second series was essential - *and* lovecraftian... shame there was never a third season

pet sematary is very scary but doesn't differ so much from the movie
Just watched Buried. Good stuff, but not recommended for the claustrophobic.
