Re: CV/Gate sequencing
did anyone try the MFB STEP-64 ?
it has both midi and cv. no hz/v though. could be a nice and small budget sequencer. or just crap?
i had one and hated it. it didn't flow and took the fun out of real time sequencing

Get a Syntechno TeeBee and then your options are open...
I had the same problem, Korg MS-02 is rare and laughably expensive. Was looking at DIYing with the Kenton cv to hz/v board, is meant to go in the Pro-2 but I guess it could be fitted inside a synth - needs +/- 15v. http://www.kentonuk.com/products/items/ … cvhz.shtml
Instead though I'm on a journey up my own arse starting building my own cv recorder/sequencer with an Arduino, in the style of the SH-101 sequencer. Instead of translating voltages to note values, it just records control voltages, so it works with my MS20 and SH-101 alike.

im building the mfos sequencer ATM, based on the baby10 seq mark verbos wrote about in an old PNW synth zine. i will post pics when done!

i soldered up two of these and my next quest is to see if i can get 'em to chain together (which is why i ordered two). so far only the first one is in a housing and i need to get an enclosure for the other one which is still just a bare pcb and wires. it was really not too painful to build and all those knobs make for such intuitive instantaneous tweakable fun !!! love it.... i also added loads more LEDs than what is called for do post your pictures plz!
Does anybot here have experience of the baby10 http://www.midiwall.com/gear/babyseq/
My friend and I are looking into building one with an additional 4017 so it can count to 16.
He has built it in a circuit emulator and it seems to go, I was just wondering if anyone has any experience/mods they want to share?
I use a novation bass station rack with my cs-30. Works really well. If you combine this with a trigger in from for example a 707 you can make nice variations on 1 simple pattern on all 16th notes.
Wow! BM this looks sweet. Did you develop this yourself? Do you have a schematic? This looks waaay more advanced than a baby 16
