More than 12 years ago, one of the most important compilations in Spain's electronic music history: Elektro Domésticos was published in Spain by the first Iberian hip-hop label SuperEgo/Tu Pierdes. Today I’m proud to present on Robots for Robots, the second part of the classic spanish electro record:
ELEKTRO DOMÉSTICOS 2
The first part exclusively themed in electro music established a breakthrough for this musical style in our country and this is why today it is considered by many as a classic, because of both its innovative proposal and for the imprint that it left on younger generations that today participate in this second part.
Elektro Domésticos 1 was a turning point for the budding group of producers of electro music. This allowed them to show their works to a vast public and also allowed an array of underground producers that had been making music since the 80's to print their songs in vinyl. Elektro Domésticos’ double LP included tracks of a great variety of long-lasting elektro artists like Kapi, Moockie, Zeta, Sace 2, N-Fecto, Split DJ o Elektrosher/Khosmaker (aka Alek Stark), artists that spread and made the musical style evolve in our country, a style that they still represent today.
It’s been many months of hard work but, finally, it’s here... warm as hell...
Elektro Domésticos 2 will be released on FUNDAMENTAL RECORDS, my new label.
Those of you who have not taken part in Elektro Domésticos 2 may be interested to know that the album has been edited according to the highest standards. All artists have followed strict submission rules and the tracks have a final threshold enough as to have a master with unbeatable dynamics. I can say that, at a time when a lot of albums are wasted because of that silly desire to get the highest volume in the album, Elektro Domésticos 2 stands out from the crowd. It has been very difficult to master 32 tracks by completely different artists. However, despite the amazing challenge, the results are certainly worth it, and the sound, as you can tell, is mind blowing.
