Re: Updating the forum
i have to say that the improvements outweigh the few buggy bits. And I'm with zora, if it weren't for this amazing initiative, this community would have dissolved, which would be a tragedy.

♥ icon would be nice!
A new banner maybe. This one is half year old. Aren't there any other "new" releases?
Well, rumour is your gonna release a new bunker after being away from this forum for half a year to completely focus on your music?
i see you have decided to try out the in text advertising.
do you get paid everytime we click on the add?
if so we should all prepare to get busy
edit, sorry it looks like my 10 year old daughter has gone and installed something on my laptop which causes intext adds to appear

You know the thingy at the previous version where you'd see all the threads you have posted something to.

Not true. Rumour is incorrect!

IFM wants to have better communication with it's community/users/listeners etc so for the time being info about shows etc will be communicated through their forum. Maybe I'll close some topics on this forum and open up again th stuff that's not covered on the IFM forum. I'll have a look at that this week.
Sounds... counter-productive. How is shutting people out a way to have better communication with the audience? I thought one of the issues with the transition from C-B-S to IFM was that the forum was taking up to much time and work? Now that the forum has become a separate entity (and well kept, might I add), all of the sudden we can't post stuff related to IFM? Sounds like shooting yourself in the foot.
Well things might change in the (nearby) future but at this point it's like I've said in the previous post.
IFM stuff like info about shows, livestuff and events etc is gonna be posted there and rest over here. We serving the same robots and there's no need to have stuff twice. And as the first intention was of this forum when it was setup; to have a (temp) place for the same robots while the c-b-s forum was offline.
i'm with Techni
and besides that why the hell do i need another forum when there is already a well-organized community around IFM here?
True but some things will change in the future and cool stuff will pop-up for all of us.
So is the new IFM forum going to replace this one? Mass migration time again? I realize that this was just supposed to be temporary, but it's been so many years now, I think we all assumed this refugee camp had become a permanent settlement
I can understand the idea of centralizing the community, we are after all not that many, but with every move we lose people too. I guess there are two ways to choose: Grass root network with autonomous cells or Full on Dictatorship

Good way of putting it, Tech
I sort of presumed it was mass migration time - i already made a playing right now thread = http://intergalactic.fm/forum/viewtopic.php?id=210
but ifm forum is just about ifm... no daily ufo, random media, addicts, etc. maybe they should link to each other? i dunno.
Doesn't make any sense to me.....if IFX wanted a forum again why not just bring R4R under IFM officially or smth. I'm mean shit is already laid out & working perfectly here. Really cannot understand having seperate forums with the SAME members talking about the same stuff.
Counter-productive & abit irritating actually, having a fractured forums...when everything was working fine and being discussed under one forum with a clear overview.
i want a forum...i dont want a forum. Wish ifx would make up his mind
