Topic: IFM on the brink of starvation

Intergalactic FM is doing really well considering the amount of visitors and listeners around.
But we're in trouble regarding our monthly funding.
Basically donations are our only means of survival and there is a serious lack of them at the moment. We know times are tight but we hope you can find some money under your mattress to keep us going. I'm sure you'll understand the time and efforts we put into the station to keep it running but we cannot finance it on our own.
XL shoutout to those already putting efforts in keeping us afloat!

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

I will make a donation next month (when the Clone "discount" will be open).
btw IFM should make more thing for members.
I remember the IFM demo days next year, a member (like me) could not logged in/listen the shows with all the all-members...
I think it's not normal

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

we need IFM, it's the best thing musically on internet.
I don't care about membership specials, just keep it floating.

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

ilmafioso

the difference is you support ifm!

rather than subscribe just give a little something as a one-time thing.

everything counts in large amounts

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

ot: damn my posts here keep on dissapearing!

I think the whole thing should get more attention and promo,
and therefore a party like the one last year would help a lot. But then again I know that it costs a lot of time and work = money.

still think it should be done.

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

I just sent a payment on top of my monthly donation.

best is to donate a monthly subscription, don't hesitate, keep internets best music station up and running like a smooth engine.

Don't take IFM for granted.

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

I canceled my porn subscriptions 2 years ago and stated donating to CBS/IFM...I suggest you do the same.

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

What happened to the ads?  Suddenly everything seemed to be going great... there were people listening and rating tracks, but no more banner ads?  Anyone know why?

P.S.
I'm gonna donate this week

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

There will be a IFM party soon. Coming to that show will be a good way to support it.

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

What would make the difference for you to become a donating member? Suggestions on what a membership should have?

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

hopefully selling ifm goodies ( like those cool buttons ) will do some good for ifm
is that ifm party also some fund raising?

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

Nah! Was planned some time ago. Nice location and I guess the line up has to be ready first before it will be posted.

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

will continue my monthly protection money payments. don't want any 'accidents' happening..

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

ifm should start a massive campaign to recruit some fresh blood, maybe send some scouts on the internet to encourage new music.  more support for new acts

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

totally agree

the focus on the west coast sound turned me off. not that i think they should stop that, but it seemed to me that cbs was shut down so it could expand better, and then it was just the same old friends and family doing the same shows .
but still classix is number one in the world, i would hate to see that go.
however i can't afford to donate so i just hope the rest of you do big_smile

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

Yep! But it is also others who use the WestCoast name.. like all show organized are prombtly put under the Bunker flag while it is'not so. That's understandable as it seems lots of people don't know what's happening and who's doing what.
On the other hand we do work together a lot and if possible make a front to promote this music.

@cebteq: Totaly agree that different communities could be under the IFM flag.

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

I'll donate something as soon as I can

Re: IFM on the brink of starvation

Yeah, I'll donate something as well... IFM is simply the best station, way ahead! I even listen to it in my car occasionally (with a mobile phone or laptop connection).

I mostly listen to IFM1 actually, followed by IFM2. Yes, sometimes a bit more variety on IFM1 wouldn't hurt that much, but on the other hand, I actually like it the way it is and I wouldn't want it to become too mixed up (that's what IFM4 was made for, I guess big_smile ). You simply get what you expect, along with some surprises at one time or another (like some Italo track).

I actually even liked it when I read that Black Monday has moved to IFM4, because even though I love much of the Black Monday stuff, I thought it's a bit hard to play this on IFM1 for the whole monday (at least during my whole at-work time), because if you rather feel like listening to Westcoast stuff, you have no place to escape to smile

We only need the streams  smile

I think a monthly donation is the best way to support IFM in the long term, the only difference it makes is that you buy some records less in a month (or less porn) which is no big deal at all.
