or music magazines.. do people here still read those?
in holland there used to be many magazines about dance music, but theyre almost all gone now.. i'm wondering if any surviived at all? apart from the usual suspects like German groove and raveline, and the UK dj magazines?
or music magazines.. do people here still read those?
I enjoy reading Tape Op. More for music recording and production, but free subscriptions in US/UK/Europe ain't bad.
For rootsy-funk-latin-world-jazz type stuff this blog is great:

i buy a copy of sound on sound from time to time. a friend buys all kinds so i borrow from him: future music, music tech, computer music. basically most of the english ones. although they are all just big adverts really..

thanks!
No prob! Tape Op is advert heavy, that's how they offer free subscriptions. But I found out about some cool gear like the $150 ribbon mic and the RNC $200 compressor through them. Also lots of interesting interviews.
yeah, that's true, tape op is a super cool magazine. even though some interviews are reruns, there is so much information there from the heavy guys of music produxtion.. i really like that magazine.. also because its one of the few that doesn't cater to the ''we want it all, now and for free'' generation of computer musicians..
Rock-a-rolla is a good read lots of interviews that you dont get syndicated. UK based and subscriptions good value.

well done lads!! really like "the 11 soccer team" kind of stuff.
nicely written as well dude (too bad it's only in french)
just looking at the syntaxe, i'd say you've been busy.
i'm looking forward to read your reviews.
keep doing the good job.
hey bud, you're talkin about the blog or the myspace ?
cause the blog ain't opened yet to public (well easy to find the right url tho)
about the myspace we have to renew it cause flash player sucks too much & make the page completely fucked up with internet explorer ;
and well too,the ES crew is just 8 persons now (gatasanta, zaltan & top secret ; the most succesfull ones lol are ===>out now )
yeah didn't notice, the web redirect to the myspace.
too bad some of you left the boat. the whole concept is screwed up so.. (team 11)
best of luck with the website!
in the netherlands we still have the dj broadcast, it's free but i can't say it's great
but what else is there?
in the past we had bassic groove, disco dance ( really a long time ago )
there's isn't a proper music/dj magazine anymore, cause of the internetz i think
oor isn't what i used to be and vinyl is long gone
gonzo circus from be has good reviews, interviews and design.. but a lot of very obscure stuff in there, that i am not really interested in (glitch, new folk, mathcore, etc. etc.)
