It's fucking stunning, i love it...perfect blend of exploring, action, sneaking....me & my bro have had ALOT of gameplay hours on this just now, too many games that i played..like that recent Batman, MW2, the single player game has no depth & has no longevity(tho the games are great). I dont have a console, but my bro has an Xbox...and he doesn't play online.
would anyone else have some recommendadtions for games with good depth, action & plenty of gaming hours in them?

I'd say Fallout 3 answers to all 3 categories.
I'm playing ACII as well for the moment. I'm liking it, but don't think it's the amazing game most people make of it. The story is great, graphics are good (especially the cities, visual animations are not that great), gameplay could be better.
Also playing Braid and Peggle. Prolly gonna pick up Borderlands again (though I finshed it) now my nephew picked it up as well.

What Dumbot said really re Assassins Creed II, its immersive without getting too boring and its not one fight after the other, although, as Klart said the cut away scenes are quite shoddy whereas the gameplay graphics are quite stunning. I' ve just manged to get the Assassins outfit plus knife so the gameplay has taken a different turn for me now...enjoying it thus far. I give it 8 possible 9 out of 10.
Gonna go and trade Call of Juarez in for MAG later today, once I' m dressed. Report back later..

Yeah,..it look amazing..... that's exactly the type of game i'd love. Real shame it's a PS exclusive, as my bro has the Xbox. The only reason to want a PS3, as for my money, the Xbox is better for playing games on.

re uncharted 2 i had a ps3 but sold it a while back cos it did nothing but take up space... but thinking of buying one pre-owned to get a chance to play uncharted 2...
like klart said fallout 3 is pretty full-on immersive narrative gaming. sort of like oblivion 4 set in a post-apocalyptic future. (i got bored of it, but plenty of people didn't.) bioshock was probably last 360 game i completed... that seems ages ago now.

in urban strike you have to go on foot at points to rescue hostages and stuff. the main story is that the villain Malone who is intending to blow up the US with his super-laser, is in fact Carlos Ortega, the drug baron who was presumed dead at the end of jungle strike.
there is also a point where the twin towers is attacked by terrorists, and it is set in 2001!

desert strike is pretty awesome, reminds me a lot of syndicate/syndicate wars ...isometric games are something that will never die, like diablo, the sims, and starcraft. someday i would really like to make my own

Yeah man I found the first one pretty boring...
But from what I'm hearing... it's a lot better than the first. I haven't seen it played, but some mates have really got into it. However - they did like the first one. I'm gonna buy it soon, I think. Seems worth a second go - it wasn't that the first was bad, just a bit boring.

the inspiration and feel of mass effect reminded me a lot of dune and blade runner. i absolutely love games that have that kind of style.

Currently playing Batman Arkham Asylum, surprisingly good game! Also looking forward to Mass Effect 2 and the new Battlefield.

did the uncharted2 demo, 1 i found a terrible game and 2 (with dutch localisation) is just annoying, what a crap game.
