i tried GEMM again - and its still very chaotic:

Normally you have to wait a few days(depends on the seller) to get the status, and if the sellers confirms the availability, you receive the Paypal invoice with the complete amount at your Paypal account.

today i found big ben tribe's tarzan loves the summer nights
its priced at $200. the sleeve is VG/VG+ with some sticker wear and seam splits, but the record looked pretty good, VG+ at the least.

but as i am struggling to make rent, i dont know whether this is a wise investment or not. what say you robots?

I say no.  If I was going to spend THAT much money on a record, it would have to be nearly impossible to find - I don't think Big Ben Tribe qualifies.  Plus, it would have to be in near-perfect condition.  Otherwise, if you need to get rid of it, you may have to wait a while to find a buyer willing to pay that much. 

I've spent near that amount before, but only on a record which I've never seen for sale.

interesting to learn that big ben tribe isnt that hard to find, being in canada it sometimes feels like any italo is rare and impossible to find. you're lucky to score a fancy record when diggin in these parts.

far too much too pay for that record mate!

Just be patient and you can build a good amount of italo for ok prices, even using ebay, gemm, Cdandlp.com etc

Just set your limits and research the market well, there are loads of good records for 20-30 euros or lower, and sometimes you can buy a valuable record for 10 euros of less on ebay if people forget to bid or they don't mention italo or cosmic disco in the auction title................

but as soon as it's the sandpaper sleeve, the price goes mad, no one really knows which and how many
were cut by Ian Curtis(hope this one is since the buyer paid for it accordingly, but hey if it is him then he's
done a crap job - you can tell this one's crooked in the pictures)

this one went high too, I remember this got mentioned on the 313 list back round 96-7 but can not remember much
details about it, really nice track btw

yeah, thats the problem with things like this.. whats stopping you and me from buying a cheap normal one, and cutting up some sandpaper?
