I like the ascending tone, but the descending one is creepy, especially with that sound.

Such as me. If you are in a position where the company needs you, do like me: just keep being late (not on purpose but because for the life of you you can never make it on time), especially to work and eventually your boss gets sick of giving you warnings and gives in and lets you come in an hour later than everyone else and gives you a key so you can lock up because you stay late to make up for it. 
Do it your way, because everyone else is just weird.

electronic clock alarms are the worst. i cringe whenever i hear one. ive taught myself to wakeup before it goes off.
