funny you have it like that. I have quite the same setup apart from wheels under the 2x4 ikea and my klakson's are not framed.
No fancy gear, just a simple, "work-in-progress" DJ setup in our new crib..

Yep, when my mom saw it, she asked if it was mine.. I'm however less sure if mine would fit on a 12" ;-)
@stentec: I thought about puttin wheels below it, or maybe put an extra "plank" on it, like technicolor did.. but since my friends already call me DJ Bochel i think i'll keep it like this..

It's the infamous Ikea Expedit. There's even a topic about here on R4R: http://robotsforrobots.net/viewtopic.php?id=1497
The big one (5 x 5) costs (i think) 115 euro and the small (2 x 4) one 49 euro.. pretty damn cheap.. The larger one is connected to the wall with screws and beugel which came with it.
And following some tips from the expedit topic i used witte plastic hoekprofielen as 'platenstop' per vak, so the records are all neatly on one line.
edit: you can see them in the empty bottom vakken.
wow thats nice are they strong? (they look strong if they can carry al those records) i think im gonna make my gf happy with a visit to an ikea one of those days....
They do the job fine. no worries. There's alot of people having them full with records. Then won't break. And they're cheap.
there darn cheap and look nice and thight now i use these magazijnracken from the praxis wich are verry ugly and sharp

PS: aside from 5x5 expedit you also have 4x4 expedits (they cost 99 EUR), I have 2 of them (it had to fit in my room)

@ nice wallpaper smackos! and beautiful owl too! my studio owls are way smaller and I can't get more or bigger ones because my studio assistant (second pic on the right, behind the juno) likes to hunt birds, even if they are not living

Yeah, he is very talented in improvisation on keys. But when he gets bored of my sounds he climbs up the expedit and throws things down. So one knob on the PG-200 got bent by a flowerpot or so... but it's still working
this is getting worst every day ... pic of a crazywelt guy in the place I work ..
