From buzzmachines.com: Yes, it's not a very late aprils fools joke, it's true. Oskari, the developer behind Buzz is rebuilding Buzz from his old backups. The new buzz will run at XP/Vista.

What do you think? Are there any robots using buzz?

I still do, and I don't know any other free (!) software with so many possibilities.
But the software is too old and often very unstable.

I hope that the new buzz will be finished soon.

its not bad.  there have been attempts to restabilize it via things like overload protection, rebuilt machines, auto-downloading of new machines, flagging of buggy machines.

then i found ableton...

Ableton...too expensive for me.
It's strange that theres nearly nothing between freeware and professional software.

Anyway, my buzz is stable (at the moment) and for people like me, who have almost no gear and want to do nothing special, it's still a good software to get started...

Ah, I used to be a big fan of buzz. Nice to know they're rebuilding it. Very sophisticated tracker even though it crashed all the time. Used to make a bunch of songs on it and loads of fun to play with.

Can't wait to get my hands on it again.

Great when it works,
mpc syncing an 808 and buzz sounds pretty cool!

not stable enough for live.... unless your feelin lucky.
