If you're looking for a cheap and cheerful way to do so.
get yourself one of these:
take your master out your mixer, plug it into this, USB into your computer, download audacity and hit record
i used to use AUDACITY before - but always i just plugged my master out directly into the computer MC-input.
The quality is quite ok.
Is the AUDACITY quality much better if i am using this tool?
And isnt AUDACITY bad at all?
how comes people think that audacity is bad? Because it's opensource and doesn't use super flashy 3d graphics but plain old 2-dimensional loading bars?
the AD converter is the part i would pay more attention to over the editing software
any experiences with NAD converters?
some say that NAD is very good.

i have a NAD hi-fi amplifier but i'm unfamiliar with their converter technology.
prices will escalate quite quickly when you start to seek out reputable converters. Apogee have a firewire interface called Duet which will cost in the region of €400 but maybe you can find a better deal. there is no phono pre so you would have to plug in from the mixer. of course you will need a firewire mac to run it.
the NAD PP 3 will probably be fine if you don't want to take a leap into high quality converters just yet.
I have a NAD Phono preamp works fine, good level but can take a little time to warm up.
Installed Ortofon Arkiv cartridges on the 1210 Mk2's last Tuesday, they sound quite good and are cheap. Good A/D is a must. Audacity is free and good, but Audition gets good reviews aswell.
i heard Ortofaon Arkiv is only a promotional thing and that these systems have the same specifications as the DJ E system.
i know choosed a shure MX 97 for digitalizing.

many people are saying that this is excellent.
thinking about NAD ....
