It took me 5 years to finish it. Just to give an idea of what's involved in DIY, things like the ASM-2 (bottom 2 racks) took 400 hours to build, including time spent laying everything out and figuring out the wiring.
I do most of my sound design with this.

The rest is simply Eurorack with everything shoved behind entire single panels.

Yes, I built them. Loose-weave canvas (the most expensive part), Rockwool Sonorock Akustik, the wood is 7.5cm x 2cm and the inside of the frames measure 50x100cm. They're mounted 4cm from the wall to increase absorption.

This mixer is totally strange and great! As for the FS1r, I bought it in 1999 and will never, ever, ever sell it. Ever

can't help wondering as you went to all that trouble why you didn't put traps in the corners? was it a space issue?

According to my pink noise generator and frequency analyser, there's no pressing need for traps - what with with the large sofa all along the back wall absorbing the bulk of the low-frequencies. Putting traps in the front corners might help a bit, but I'm not finding it an issue at the moment.
The height of the modular is noticeable in my stereo field. I think at this point it's an issue of diminishing returns.

unicity: you've got so much room in there its not even funny. i have 3 times as much crap in 1/2 the size place..;-)
a good analog mixer does your machines justice, though i guess mixing in the box can be better than through a crappy mixer. but serious: all you guys saying that have never heard your gear through a good mixer. and they can be had so cheap these days!

A quick grainy shot taken at the new place... not yet all setup, but cable spaghetti already growing. This time I have a good foot between the monitor and back wall, the opposite wall is full of books. maybe I just need to hang something under the ceiling.
