Apparently the designer made it by hand, with nothing but a pair of pliers and a small board with some spikes on it (for curving).

never understood why this is cult.
i always thought its quite ugly.
but i like the side chairs with dowel base from eames

-> you bed! would love to have one as i have massive back problems here since a few weeks. there are days i can't even walk straight anymore. only problem with this bed is that it costs 60.000 euro. but well, if i win in the lottery this weekend and if they change the design a bit for me (at least the ugly blue and white cloth) i will buy one for sure.

That's a Swedish Hästens bed, and the blue and white check pattern is their branding, they won't change that willingly
