this one sounds great. added it to my rental list. notice in the review it also namechecks godard's 'alphaville', which is brilliant.

I was surprised by it, the posters and trailers I had seen before watching it made it look far worse than it actually is. The plot and acting and so on is quite allright (never mind the cheese), but the special effects are a bit too "kaiju". Also, the main theme rocks. It sort of sounds like a James Bond-soundtrack smile "Greeeen slime!"

Another reccomendation:

Made by Enzo g. castellari, starring Fred Williamson, George Eastman and the kid from "The House by the Cemetery" and has a pretty radical Simonetti soundtrack. Easy one of the most awesome movies I watched last year.

I love this movie, full of amazing cars and stunt-dummies, and what a soundtrack, indeed!

Every robot should check out Saul Bass' "Phase IV" (1974). "2001: A Space Oddysee" meets ant sci-fi. It's pretty damn great, and I don't really understand why MST3K did an episode with it.

Don't forget the master James Cameron:

Terminatorbest B movie ever with excellent sound track.

AliensProbably the best action film ever. The first one: Alienby Ridley Scott is also a masterpiece. DON'T see any of the others. they are mega crap

The Abysscould maybe have been one the best one ever if it didn't have disney-cute-ish ending which is a bit sad.

Just reading into this topic... But hey! Alien 4 Resurrection ain't all that bad! It is a Jean-Pierre Jeunet movie, I really like his style. But the premise is pretty hard to believe. Still: the action is pretty good. Suspense too. Gotta agree with Aliens being the best action film ever, but only the directors cut!
