okay, so this morning i won an auction on ebay by a french guy...
and i got this message from him:
"J'enverrai sous peu un paiement d'un montant de EUR 7.00 par ch
According to the seller's mails, he's expecting you to send him a 7 euros cheque.

You could ask him that:

but hey, i just found out how it works! i only have to go to the paypal page directly, press the "Send money" button and then go to "Pay for eBay Items" and there the auction is listed! didn't know that before, because normally the paypal links that i get from ebay always lead to the auctions that i have to pay directly! so finally the item is paid!

he mentioned the cheque thing on his auction and also wrote there that it's possible for foreigners to pay via paypal!
only problem was that the direct paypal link didn't work!
but yeah, it's strange that he didn't reply in english after my message.
and that checque thing is even more strange... i mean come on it's 2008, no?
last time i paid for something with a cheque was in the early 90's or so...
cheques are quite often used in france like when you go to the doctor or that king of stuff
but yeah it's definitely weird to still ask for a cheque when it's a deal done on the web

and the strange thing, is that he talk about a "courrier" as if he was waiting for a postal-mail. He didin't talk about payment. I think he's nut.
