Haha hilarious ! That episode was on TV a few weeks ago.  I feel 13 again smile  ( as if i don't feel like that always..)
He was first a cop or something, got doublecrossed by a woman he was working with,
and then got shot in the face.
Before the shooting i turned on the tv and thought " did they ever do a season without Hasselhof ?
Was i more into Dallas by then ? "  wink

But then he got the surgery and became Michael Knight .
So indeed: how is an evil twin possible ?

i dont really know, but could imagine, garth was "just" an insane evil crook, probably working for an evil organization, who did a lot of facial (+ body) surgery as well, so that he looked like michael knight, in order to infiltrate and destroy the foundation (that was the name of "the <good> company", right?), or sth.

edit: yes - the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG), hahaha.
edit 2: with a little help of google: apparently it was just the other way round. michaels "new face", which was chosen by wilton knight, the founder of the foundation, was kind of a imitate of his sons face - garth.

Well you got to admit they did a good job on Michael; slap a moustache and one of those under lip thingies

I remember there is this one episode where KITT is dropped in some sort of acid (non-303) by the bad-guys and after that they struggle to rebuild him.. I only saw that episode once.. would love to see it again.. Man do i love this show.. I need to get me this on dvd.. btw:
