there was already an old topic at cbs about those fairs:
i dont like them.
most of the cool records are gone already before the doors are open for "normal" people...
all the sellers are trading and digging before...
its great man!
ive found dozens of cool records there for little money.
you gotta work tho 
i always come back with good stuff from there.. there's plenty to be found if you're not looking for the obvious.. i'll be there again this time!

most fairs in the uk allow punters in same time as traders for an extra admission price. always worth paying that extra to get a first look.
you can pay more and start diggin' at friday.
did it before but there's a lot of sellers that are still busy with setting their stuff up so you cant check everything.
when i go i just go staurday early morning and leave at once when i get annoyed by the people/dirt etc... this is usually at about 15.30 / 16.00 (after some serious work tho )

the only ones that i've been to have been full of really crappy 'classic rock' style records - just run of the mill so called 'classics' that are generally completely uninteresting.
you got the protable turntable? these are the bomb! the ultimate equipment for record diggers... maybe have to buy one to 
a record fair in frankfurt / main makes definitely no sense for electro / italo interested people ...
SALVA from CITIBEATRECORDS is always selling there - and he is grabbing most of the good stuff before the doors are open ...

I rather look at what I do get than what I don't. There'will be enough left.
This dealing before the fair opens sound un"fair" but I guess there's not really much to be done about it or to be a dealer yourselve maybe.

I haven' t done a record fair in years, used to go to Camdens VIP fair regular as clockwork, pre-internet.
last time i went, 300 euri's were gone in 30 minutes

What kinda port. tt is that? Are they expensive?
i've got a vestax handy trax and can confirm it's a very nice thing to have when digging. can be found for around 100USD.

numark pt01, i like is because it fits in a record bag, and the quality is actually surprisingly good.
thx for the tips guys!.. My gf's parents have a really old portable tt lying around.. but i haven't checked it that well.. could be that it only fits 7"s ..

ordinary needles, i'm just looking into replacements. because i think i'm killing my grooves with it now they're worn.
