thanks! it's hi scores @ 45 rpm and always does wonders that way.
Nice one, listened some times already!
Hi everybody, I'm trying to get in for a few days already. But without succes. Could it be the stream doesn't work on mac? cheers
hi johnmailman. sure it works on mac, too. and i guess there are several possibilities to connect. 3 that i know:
* you can tune in with itunes. i havent tried yet, but it should work.
* you need to have the vlc-player installed. its freeware. if you already have, you just need to open the stream-link (http://77.250.148.210:8000/listen.m3u) with vlc.app. youre tuned in. EDIT: ok, this doesnt seem to work anymore. if you click the link, it will directly connect you via itunes. EDIT 2: hm, maybe it actually works with vlc. just try, id say.
* my fave possibility! you need to have the robotplayer installed. if you dont have yet, go here and install that lovely thing. if you have a mac you sure must not miss out the dancing robot! after you did so, follow these instructions: (beside robot fm you can also add robotdj.net radio to your player this way, and switch the channels as you please)
i hope Maurits is ok with me posting this, but you can tweek your RobotPlayer easily.
1. go inside your robotplayer/contents/resources and open 'streamsources.plist' in a text editoR.
2. add this to it above the first <dict>
<dict> <key>demuxer</key> <string>aac</string> <key>text</key> <string>RobotDJ.net</string> <key>url</key> <string>http://209.9.238.150:8000/R4R</string> </dict>
2b. and if you want roRbot FM in there too, also add:
<dict> <key>demuxer</key> <string>audio</string> <key>text</key> <string>roRbot FM</string> <key>url</key> <string>http://77.250.148.210:8000/listen</string> </dict>
select streams in the preferences. (but you knew that)
hehe and now it won't woRk anymore cause the stream seems to have switched to mp3.
so mac users can tune in with itunes now.a fix for the code above: change <string>aac</string> into <string>audio</string>.
you dont know how to find your way? i had troubles at first, but then help was there:
right click on your robotplyer and choose "Show Package Content", you will enter it like it's a folder.
its really easy after youve realized how easy it actually is.
enjoy!
ps: i hope its ok, that i answered instead of Bas roR.
thx for answering that one zora

i think you can drag this link to the vlc app to make it start: http://77.250.148.210:8000/listen.m3u
and if you choose to open the stream in vlc you use: http://77.250.148.210:8000/listen
@ johnmailman: it should work ok on a mac; it's broadcasted from one. and i regularly see people listening with itunes on a mac..
great tunes now.
Thanks roR.
If you are interested in broadcasting some new/old MR releases/stuff or releated, just ask > info@minimalrome.com
Is there a tracklisting for "Something Completely Different"?
Nice stream BTW
thanks!
i'll make the tracklist and post it here latoR.
Thanks!!!
I've just found out the track by Logh. Beautiful! I never thought I'd ever listen to that kind of music again, but I really like it.
Logh is kewl. i'll play some more after the cure.
i can't imagine not drowning in guitars and drums now and then. but that collection doesn't seem to grow as much as the electronic one last years..
'Something Completely Different' tracklist:
My Bloody Valentine - Touched
Ride - Nowhere
The God Machine - Temptation (The Experimental Zen Mix)
The Verve - A Man Called Sun
Radiohead - Dollars and Cents
Motorpsycho - Whip That Ghost
Spiritualized - Run

dj paul en mc bas klassiekers!
an ode to tapedecks, bad mikes and this little voice sampler:
who the f*ck are dj paul en mc bas?
they are responsible for this audio part which you may know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GMZ7RdW7D8
it's in dutch, it's old, it's spontanious and it's weird. a selection from the old tapes (no quality is guaranteed!)

Nice re-jacked sounds right now.
Sheet roR. Really nice stuff. I don't want to leave work now. Looking for things to do so I won't miss this set:
* organize post-its
* dust desk
* fill copier w/ paper
* make sure lights work...
I tuned in last night from home when I was cooking - caught some surprising sounds that matched well with my slicing and dicing and sauce making!
