Thx J
Absolutely lovely recordings...
This is brilliant, but I need to ask a potentially stupid question about it. Does it have anything to do with the band Liaisons Dangereuses or is it just a radio show with the same name?!

it doesn't have anything to do with the band, although i suspect it was the inspiration for the title of the show.
these fellows later became known as Liasions D. and made various Belgium newbeat/techno records.
The have nothing to do with the EBM/wave band. Maybe the used the same inspiration for the name...
Thanks guys. I thought a DJ mix by Liaisons Dangereuses would be too good to be true, especially several years after they released anything. No harm in checking though I guess.
@ Freek
"these fellows later became known as Liasions D. and made various Belgium newbeat/techno records."
-> ah, so those are the guys who did faces of horror... great track!
And also Future FJP and Por La Patria! But I thought there was also Frank De Wulf involved...
@qob:
they are not just some guys..
sven van hees became one of belgium's most well known techno producers and ran the wonka label
we all know frank de wulf, don't we? acid rock and 10 million ep's and remixes..
jan van den bergh is monte larue (lounge) and was running the dutch division of NEWS record label for years
marcos salon is Outlander on R&S
so they are kind of a who is who from the belgian 90's scene.. but indeed a nice track!
@ Herr Lehrer
"they are not just some guys.."
-> nein?
"sven van hees became one of belgium's most well known techno producers and ran the wonka label"
-> never heard of sven van hees or wonka! *hides under desk*
"we all know frank de wulf, don't we?"
-> ja, we do, Herr Lehrer! from that b-sides series...
"jan van den bergh is monte larue (lounge) and was running the dutch division of NEWS record label for years"
-> keine ahnung here, Herr Lehrer!
"marcos salon is Outlander on R&S"
-> ah, i remember... that vamp track by outlander was a big hit here in germany back then!
"but indeed a nice track!"
-> yeah, reminds me a lot of d.f.x. - relax your body... probably because of the male bla bla in it.
more radio show mixes if anyone has em'.
my favorite shit right now for sure!
love this kind of mixes...am on the first part now, awesome. these radio mixes are also good for learning foreign languages
@ Queen, and that same sven van hees colaborated with the dutch ( den haag ) dj remy
as the remy and sven duo.
they made several house/techno productions.
the wonka label was the belgium answer to best records from the dutch dj dimitri
the record sleeves were actually very funny look :
some examples
allthough the music is hopelessly outdated
remy and sven made some good tracks back then, and one of them is on a I-F label
a (still) good one : http://www.discogs.com/release/163046

I believe that one (mellow/club) track on this 12" is made by Remy and the other (superb) acid-track is by I-F and another Dutch guy (forgot his name, only met him once in Antwerpen). He told me that Vauvenage is the (wrong spelled) name of the French village where this track was recorded. But I'm not sure..
hmm, according discogs I'm wrong..
but dope record, def worth buying for the A track if you like acidtechno
oh boy, what an enjoyment!
thanx for these brilliant recordings!
any more of these shows...anyone?
back on the wonka tip and a bit off topic, sorry j5. the track date m on wonka is a killer and was a big mayday track in the early 90's.

hehe ouwe houser! that's http://www.discogs.com/Unknown-Artist-U … ase/238455 I think (maybe i-f knows for sure) but it sucks (wanna buy it?)
