Robots for Robots → The Daily UFO → What will happen to Robots for robots when Intergalactic FM launches ?
I guess it will be still there, but i think the frequency will suffer then ? Maybe Robots for Robots needs a Radio stream also, to survive when the next big thing comes !

I would find it pity to see this forum deleted as long as it is in use by some people. It can always be deleted later, when it turns out that nobody uses it anymore.
Here i have read that even new features are going to be added to this forum, so i hope it stays for a while....?

+1 with hope it stays alive and continues to be a place to cultivate many other streams/sounds/etc.

and why exactly shouldn't this forum continue after the next big thing has been introduced? ok we mostly came over from the cbs but that was because we were sort of forced to abandon ship. i don't think anybody here seriously considers abandoning yet another ship unless at gunpoint.

the new forum is there, but is only accessible to hotmix members/donators/subscribers...not much happening in there as yet soo i don't know how this will unfold, whether everyone will have access
But.....i have a feeling it will be purely a much more 'functional' only place ie...the download section only for subscribers etc..
Because as i remember djx was saying he's was all about the radio, not the forum(and all the shit that goes with it)

back to your topic - I think a collaborative stream is a fine idea for the forum. if anyone's interested let's open up a topic and kick around the idea.
basically you could cost share a shoutcast server (or use any of recommended freeware versions) then setup a schedule for people to take turns feeding it a stream for redistribution. using a forum/thread you could convey who currently is feeding... would be a bit chaotic at first (can be fun though) but with a few simple instructions might be sustainable.

I feel as if the IFM forum will be more or less restricted to IFM maintenance and internal organization purposes.
In my humble opinion, this forum will stay the only one that looks like the former CBS forum.
Even if it doesn't belong officially to IFM or the Hotmix fundation, it's actually administrated by the same persons and,
in many ways it's already more or less a satellite of IFM

RobotsForRobots will stay for now. No need to turn it down. But robots do have to behave (most of them do). No anti-vibe anymore, everyone can critize whatever they want but no more bias vs flemming topics and such bullshit. Members that spoil the fun will be banned/deleted. IMO this forum should be much more about sharing mixes, tracklists, gearinfo etc then discussing if some bootleg is of low quality or whatever. Also no RobotsForRobots radio.

Must say that there seems to be a more mellow attitude over here, so thats real cool.
getting bitten in the ass when making a bit of a dumb remark/question is mostly not needed, and there seems to be less of that around here.
